By a good tradition, on the eve of the brightest winter holiday, the opera diva Inese Galante once again gathers her friends - the outstanding Latvian musicians and the brightest young talents - and invites the citizens and guests of Riga to plunge into a Christmas fairy tale.

On December 17, at 15.00 and 19.00 one of the most beautiful cultural events of the capital city on the eve of Christmas will be held under the vaults of Riga Dome Cathedral - a concert "Christmas Prelude", which is annually presented to music lovers by Inessa Galante Foundation.

Listeners will meet the outstanding composer and organist Aivars Kalējs, as well as the virtuoso pianist Andrey Osokin, winner of the most prestigious international competitions, as well as the talented young soloists of the LNO - tenor Artem Safronov and soprano Viktorija Pakalniece. And, of course, in keeping with one of the main goals of the Inessa Galante Foundation, which is to give young and talented musicians a start, the concert will feature the young rising stars - winners of the Inessa Galante Talents competition along with renowned musicians. A special Christmas atmosphere will be created by the Jāzeps Mediņš Boys' Choir of Riga's First Music School, directed by Romāns Vanags.

The virtuoso performance of the participants of the festive concert will feature beloved Christmas melodies, classical pieces and their interpretations, as well as numerous musical surprises for the guests of the evening.
