Very soon from now the Medins music school boys' choir will travel to one of the most beautiful cities in Russian Federation - St.Petersburg.

Tour includes some very significant events in both - Latvian and Russian musical relationships and also in relationships between two boys' choirs - the boyschoir of the JMMS and one of most talanted Russian boyschoir from Uchilicha imeni Glinki.

Tour is planned very thoughtfully - there are important concerts in the city, master-clases along with boys' choir from Uchilicha imeni Glinki and also excursions to many historical places of St.Peterburg.

The participation in ministration and concert of St.Peterburg's Latvian church is also planned.

Aizkraukles Banka Supports Riga Boys Choir’s Performances in St.Petersburg

On November 18, 2005, in honour of the anniversary of Latvia’s proclamation of independence in 1918, the consulate of the Republic of Latvia in St. Petersburg, Russia, organised a concert that was called «Meeting of Two Choirs». The boy’s choirs of the Riga Jazeps Medins School of Music and the St. Petersburg Mikhail Glinka School of Music both performed at a recently renovated hall named for the Russian composer Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka — a hall with outstanding acoustics.
