Christmas is the time of miracles, beauty, harmony and, of course, music. On 20th of December Inessa Galante Foundation invites you to forget about the daily routine for a moment and dip into the dreamy pre-Christmas world of sounds together with bright Latvian performers – soulful soprano Inessa Galante, extraordinary countertenor Sergejs Jēgers, Inessa Galante’s longtime friend – organ player Aivars Kalējs, young talents Daniil Bulayev (violin) and Andrejs Feldmanis (piano), and the boys' choir of Jāzeps Mediņš 1st Music School of Riga, conductor Romans Vanags.
According to the best traditions of Inessa Galante Foundation, for the audience is prepared a special surprise – it will be a meeting with a brilliant string quartet Prometheus Quartett, whose repertoire includes not only masterpieces of classic and romantic period, but also 20-21 century music in its variety of styles and genres. The quartet was founded in Germany in 1997 and since then regularly gives concerts in the native country and abroad. Especially significant is the quartet’s collaboration and common projects with world famous musicians – Joe Cocker, Zucchero, Westlife.
In the concert you will hear the masterpieces of academic music.
Let this Christmas Eve bring you a holiday feeling and leave in your hearts a small piece of a winter tale, inspired by soulful timbres of voices, strings and organ.
